Student Work > Residencies

I have offered residencies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania public schools, camps, homeless shelters, prisons and other institutions for the past twenty years. I am registered with the NJ and PA State Councils on the Arts as a visiting artist in residence. Many of my residencies have been through The Claymobile, the outreach arm of The Clay Studio, and The Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership (PAEP). You will find them under LINKS. With most residencies, I work with the classroom or art teachers to develop a clay curriculum that addresses literacy skills, first and foremost. I also often connect social studies, science and math skills to my lessons. Residencies vary in length depending on the needs of the host site, some being a single day, some spanning 20 weeks. I offer everything from wheel demonstrations to handbuilt projects to mural collaborations. I can also help you fund these projects by assisting in writing grant proposals.
