My functional pottery is both hand built and wheel thrown of stoneware, fired in oxidation to cone 6, approximately 2180 degrees Fahrenheit. The pots are food safe, ovenproof, microwave safe and dishwasher safe.

I layer several glazes to achieve the atmospheric effects. My aesthetics have evolved over the years to include the surfaces one might find in wood fired or gas fired pottery, though it is fired in an electric kiln.

My studio is in my house overlooking the Rancocas Creek, and many of the garden and water images are influenced by my surroundings. Fish, turtles, frogs, dragonflies and plant life can all be found outside my studio door and have found their way onto my pots.
